Dave Miller
Senior Director, Technology and Innovation
Dave has been with the ESC since 2011 when he was hired to manage the Lorain County Distance Learning Consortium. The videoconferencing consortium has consistently grown since its creation. In 2007, under his leadership, the department expanded its mission to include technologies beyond “distance learning.” The Northern Ohio Research & Training Technology Hub (NORT2H) was created. Now a staff of four, the department seeks to explore the potential impact emerging technologies can have inside the classroom, assisting teachers through the development of successful professional development opportunities.
Dave’s background in classroom instruction coupled with his marketing and business training provides him with a unique blend to provide services to NORT2H customers. Dave has played a primary role in the development and implementation of projects at the ESC including the ESC conference room renovation, NORT2H green screen studio, and the deployment of ongoing professional development to its members.
Dave enjoys living in Avon Lake, Ohio with his wife Sarah Miller, a music teacher and their daughter Raegan. He enjoys spending time with family, golfing, water sports, and auto restoration.
