Got videoconferencing? Now what?
Out of all of the technologies available for educators Videoconferencing is one of the most dynamic and powerful of them all. Take your classes to museums around the world, collaborate with classrooms in other districts, learn about careers, talk to authors or use it for professional development all of these options are possible through videoconferencing. All of these great resources are at your fingertips you just need to know where to look.
The Northern Ohio Research & Training Technology Hub (NORT2H) has been supporting schools in our consortium for over ten years and has been helping schools across the country launch Interactive Videoconferencing in their districts. During this workshop the NORT2H staff will works with teachers, administrator and support staff on how to create and maintain a successful distance learning project through videoconferencing. The session will focus on six themes of programming enhanced with video examples, best practices and lessons learned. Teachers will learn where they can search for content and collaborations on a national and international level followed by videoconferencing terminology as well as tips and tricks to make the most out of your experience.
This workshop is meant to be customized to the scheduling sites needs. Whether you are a school with brand new equipment or found your system in the closet and want to bring it back to life there is something for everyone. When scheduling the NORT2H staff will design the workshop with you at a level appropriate to your group.
